Caregiver​/Companion Aide at Mohegan Lake, NY

Caregiver Position

Schedule:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 1:30–6:30 PM + occasional Saturdays

We're seeking an extroverted, reliable Caregiver to provide companionship and personal assistance for an elderly client. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, attentiveness, and energy to support daily routines and ensure safety.

• Offer companionship, conversation, and social engagement
• Monitor overall wellbeing and encourage participation in activities
• Assist with grooming and dressing supervision
• Support ambulation and fall prevention (client is a major fall risk)
• Help client move safely between floors of the home
• Prepare tea/snacks and provide light assistance with meals
• Ensure punctuality and consistent attendance

• Prior caregiving or companion care experience preferred
• Outgoing personality; enjoys conversation and social interaction
• Strong reliability — must be on time, every shift
• Ability to assist with mobility using gait belt and walker
• Compassionate, patient, and safety minded
