Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs.
  • Guide patients through rehabilitation exercises involving mobility and strength training, ensuring proper technique to prevent injuries.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment objectives, therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle adjustments that promote healing and independence.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation to track progress and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as required based on patient feedback and progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Robustly engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on patients recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and those with chronic pain or mobility issues. Our diverse patient population encompasses all age groups, providing therapists with the opportunity to impact a wide range of rehabilitation needs—from pediatric patients to elderly individuals requiring post-operative care.

Qualifications
  • Current New York State Physical Therapist License.
  • A Bachelor's Degree, with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy highly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques and patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in skilled nursing or rehabilitation facilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic or similar platforms.
  • Certification in specialty areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics or geriatrics, is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000.
