MDE Evaluator — Social History; LMSW​/LCSW

About This Role

Red Door Learning is a NYS 4410-approved preschool special education provider actively building its per diem MDE evaluator network across Nassau County. We are seeking licensed LMSW / LCSW evaluators to conduct evaluations as part of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation (MDE) process for preschool-aged children referred through the County of Nassau CPSE.

Per Report:
English: $100 – $130 per completed, approved report | Bilingual: $140 – $165

per completed, approved report

Payment is processed within 15 business days of report approval. No chasing invoices, no extended waits.

• Complete case packet delivered before every evaluation (referral information, prior records, child background)
• Clear report templates and formatting guidance — training provided before your first case
• Dedicated coordinator managing scheduling, paperwork, and all family communication
• Fully flexible scheduling — accept cases when your calendar allows, no minimum commitments
• Growth path to W2 for per diem evaluators who want to expand their role

• Active NYS LMSW or LCSW license
• Current professional liability insurance appropriate for your discipline and scope of practice
• NYSED fingerprint clearance (we will guide you through the process if not yet cleared)
• Ability to submit completed evaluation reports within 7 business days of evaluation date
• Willingness to follow Red Door report templates and formatting standards

Bilingual social workers are especially encouraged. Languages especially needed:
Spanish, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Arabic.

A bilingual premium is paid on every bilingual evaluation report.
