WorkEnvironment
This role is performed onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, which features well-equipped therapy rooms and a welcoming setting conducive to patient recovery. As part of a cohesive care team, you will collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation aides, to deliver coordinated care and enhance patient outcomes. The facility promotes a culture of respect and collaboration where every team member's contribution is valued.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of patients to assess mobility levels and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their rehabilitation goals.
- Administer physical therapy interventions for up to 7 patients per day, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities to enhance functional mobility.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, providing clear explanations of goals and expected outcomes to foster engagement in their therapy journey.
- Document all treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner within our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to review and adjust patient care plans as necessary, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to provide insights into patient progress, share best practices, and enhance overall treatment efficacy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is well maintained and accessible for patient use.
The patients we serve encompass a variety of backgrounds and rehabilitation needs, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility challenges. Qualifications- Current New York State Physical Therapist License.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in the field.
- Proven experience of at least two years in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with specialized rehabilitation programs such as geriatrics or sports medicine is a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices in a rehabilitation context.
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
