The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is the primary field-based point of contact with healthcare providers (HCPs), including clinical investigators, delivering medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering.

Territory:
East PA, NY, NJ, DE, and MD

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain outstanding knowledge of immuno-oncology and relevant disease areas.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Immunocore products, competitor products, and other therapeutic options.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support best patient care.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of medical and broader Immunocore strategy; align activities to strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical compliance and safety standards and relevant local regulations/laws.
  • Serve as an educational resource to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as an external credible scientific expert at HCP meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a balanced/objective manner.
  • Proactively engage the HCP community to provide education as permitted.
  • Lead/implement congress symposiums and other educational programs; provide tailored clinical presentations.
  • Support early access programs.
  • Identify/map HCPs and referral patterns; disseminate field insights and resolve HCP needs/issues.
  • Work with internal teams on congress planning and implementation.
Research:
  • Support trial site identification.
  • Facilitate investigator engagement/communication for Immunocore trials, investigator-sponsored studies, and enrollment barriers.
  • Lead collation/discussion/review of ESR proposals and set up/maintain approved studies.
Experience & Knowledge (Qualifications):
  • 3–5+ years of MSL experience.
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).
  • 3 years of oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma) required.
  • Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immune-oncology.
  • Understanding of trial design, study analysis, and HEOR/cost effectiveness approaches.
  • Knowledge of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines.
  • Ability to build trust with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, institutions, and peers.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws/regulations; excellent presentation and communication skills.
Skills:
  • Convey complex scientific concepts tailored to different audiences.
  • Travel: 60%.
