ResponsibilitiesA clerical or secretarial person, who under the direct supervision of the ED leadership, performs duties and functions of a clerical and/or secretarial nature for the Emergency Department under Nursing Administration.

The compensation range for the role is $20.13-$25.16/hourly.
Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
QualificationsMinimum Education: High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience as an Administrative Assistant in a service industry. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Power Point and document management. Computer proficiency.
- Ability to deal with the customers in a pleasant and efficient manner.
- Must possess good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and display good judgmental qualities.
- Ability to professionally compose letters, memos, reports, etc.
Required Certification/Registration: N/A
Physical Requirements: Position will primarily be light work requiring lifting up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting/ or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required. Position requires 80% sitting and 20% standing or walking. Expressing and exchanging ideas by spoken work is required.
