Location: New York
This innovative mobile optometry practice is dedicated to making a meaningful difference by delivering high-quality vision care directly to nursing home residents. The team leverages advanced portable technology and a collaborative, patient-centered approach, allowing optometrists to focus on excellent clinical care in a supportive environment. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities to work 3‑5 days a week (Monday to Friday), depending on individual availability.
Aboutthe Role
- Visit different nursing homes each day to provide comprehensive on-site eye exams and vision care
- Utilize state-of-the-art portable equipment for refractions, glaucoma screenings, retinal evaluations, and more
- Develop individualized care plans and prescribe corrective lenses
- Collaborate with optometric assistants and support staff in a friendly, supportive team environment
- Benefit from a flexible schedule with no required evenings or weekends
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation for each patient encounter
- Participate in follow‑up care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Uphold the highest standards of patient-centered care and professionalism
- Earn between $800 and $1,000 per day for approximately 5–6 hours of work. Maximize your earnings by expanding your patient load with a steady roster of patients available.
- A medical assistant will be provided to assist with daily tasks, allowing you to focus on clinical care.
- Enjoy the freedom of a part-time or full-time schedule. Choose your days and hours, with no mandatory evenings or weekends.
- Professional liability coverage is fully covered.
- Travel expenses, including tolls and gas, will be reimbursed.
- The company handles patient scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks, allowing optometrists to focus on patient care and education.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
