Radiologic Technology Clinical and Didactic Instructor

Location: Johnstown

SUNY FMCC is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position to teach in an established JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Candidates must be committed to the mission of community colleges and teaching students who have a wide range of academic abilities.

Salary and Benefits :

The annual Instructor base salary is $64,259.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing didactic, laboratory course, laboratory simulations, and clinical instruction as assigned.

Correlating clinical education with didactic education to assure effectiveness.

Evaluating and facilitating clinical education effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education sites.

Advising students in matters related to academics, clinical progress, attendance, and behaviors.

Course and program assessment and planning.

Ongoing participation in professional development activities relevant to the profession.

Qualifications:

Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license and current ARRT certification in Radiography.

Three years of clinically based work experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

A master'sdegree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (master's degree is required prior to receiving tenure).

Classroom and clinical teaching experience are desired, preferably at the two-year college level.

The ideal candidate will be multi-credentialed in Medical Imaging, including post primary modalities such as computed tomography (CT), mammography (M), etc.
