Role Description

The Radiologic Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based in New York City, NY. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in support of orthopedic and sports medicine care, following physician orders and established protocols. Day-to-day tasks include preparing patients for imaging studies, operating radiologic equipment, positioning patients to obtain accurate images, and ensuring image quality for diagnostic review.

The Radiologic Technologist will maintain radiation safety standards, follow infection control procedures, and support workflow efficiency in a busy clinical environment. The role also involves documenting procedures, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, and providing clear, compassionate communication to patients throughout their visit.

Qualifications
  • Foundational expertise in Radiologic Technology, including operation of imaging equipment and orthopedic-focused imaging techniques.
  • Current or eligible American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and adherence to professional practice standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Radiation Safety practices, including proper patient shielding, exposure control, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Working understanding of Medicine and Radiology as they relate to musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and orthopedic procedures.
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; state licensure in New York as required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting, with attention to detail, accuracy, and patient comfort.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience in orthopedic or sports medicine imaging is preferred but not required; willingness to learn specialized protocols is valued.
