You will need to maintain effective collaboration with program leadership to ensure continual enhancement of the educational experience.
EssentialFunctions Program objectives
- Remains knowledgeable about program goals and objectives.
- Understands both lab and didactic objectives and evaluation systems.
- Prepares and executes lab, clinical and didactic applications effectively.
- Supervises and instructs students during lab, clinical and didactic sessions.
- Ensures proper skill instruction and evaluates students' progress in all settings.
- Monitors student attendance across all applications.
- Generates oral or written reports for all students.
- Maintains accurate records of students' performance and activities during skill sessions.
- Ensures proper supervision of students during skill practice sessions.
- Serves as a positive role model for students.
- Brings any issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor's attention.
- Acts as an objective evaluator during skill examinations and evaluations.
- Collaborates with the program director to periodically review and revise course materials.
- Ensures student compliance with program policies and guidelines.
- Pursues continuous professional development to stay current with the professional discipline and educational methodologies.
- Collaborates with the program director to integrate updated knowledge into the curriculum.
- Collaborates effectively with the program director on various aspects, including course material review and student compliance.
- Maintains open communication channels and promptly addresses any challenges or problems that arise.
- Minimum of 2 years of fulltime experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Current registration/certification from a nationally recognized sonography credentialing agency and possess certification in any specialty areas in which they are instructing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required
