What you will be doing?

The Driver/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for transporting clients to and from the facility. The ability to follow the direction of the Clinical Director and BHT Supervisor and safely transport clients in a timely fashion will be imperative in this role. When working on the floor as a BHT observing client behaviors, recording their conditions, and leading them to therapeutic and recreational activities.

Driver/BHTs will work various shifts and will provide overall supervision of the clients in the facility and demonstrate exceptional care when transporting clientele.

What tasks are required?

  • Safely transport clients to and from doctor appointments, meetings and activities.
  • Ensure all clients are accounted for at all times.
  • Be respectful and caring to clients while maintaining proper boundaries.
  • Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis.
  • Immediately report missing equipment and/or damage to the vehicle or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
  • At the end of each shift, leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility.
