Patient Services Representative (PSR) ? Urban Health Plan 2026
Typical Responsibilities- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule appointments and reschedule no shows appointments
- Verify insurance information through managed care website.
- Register patients, assigned PCP (when applicable), check and maintain accurate demographic information, updates information as.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries and take messages for providers.
- Collect co-pays and process payments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Helps to maintain charts and provide administrative support to the department.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of experience in clerical/administrative functions required: medical office, or healthcare ideally.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
$
19.50 per hour based on 40 hours per week ($40,560 annualized).
This is an on-site position for any of our health center locations. Candidates must have flexibility to work a 5-day during the week, which may include:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM with rotating Saturdays (8am to 5pm). When scheduled to work a Saturday, employees will receive a day off during the week.
Schedules vary based on business and operational needs. Rotating Saturday schedules are provided in advance to support planning.
