Senior Director, Head of Radiopharmacology

Why This Role. Why Now.

Radiopharmaceuticals are one of the fastest growing and most strategically active segments in biotech and Actinium Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: ATNM) is at the forefront.

Actinium is building first-in-class targeted radio therapies by uniquely integrating deep radiochemistry expertise with cancer biology insight. Our pipeline spans solid tumors and hematologic malignancies and includes multiple platform-level partnering opportunities across alpha-emitter therapeutics, combinations, conditioning agents, and manufacturing IP.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join Actinium Pharmaceuticals and help lead the next wave of innovation in targeted radio therapies.

The Opportunity

Actinium is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished scientist to lead the next wave of breakthroughs in targeted radio therapies as our Senior/Principal Scientist, In Vitro Biology Team Lead
. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will serve as the scientific leader for all in vitro assay activities across our Oncology pipeline, helping to advance novel targeted radio therapies from discovery through IND-enabling studies and supporting translational studies for clinical development.

You will join a fast-paced, science-driven biotechnology company developing first-in-class targeted radio therapies with the potential to transform outcomes for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in in vitro pharmacology, ex vivo studies, and the development, validation, and execution of immunological and bioanalytical assays. A proven track record of hands-on experience performing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex in vitro and ex vivo assays is required.

Experience in immunology, including flow cytometry and immunoassay development, is highly desirable.

This unique opportunity will allow you to drive innovation across multiple areas, including tumor biology, cell signaling, antibody binding and internalization, cytotoxicity assays, and in vitro pharmacology studies evaluating both monotherapies and combination therapies. You will also contribute to the translational development of targeted radio therapies through quantitative data analysis, including IC₅₀, Kd, and Bmax determination and other pharmacological parameters, while helping to build and expand analytical assay capabilities within a rapidly growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, validation, and execution of in vitro pharmacology assays to evaluate target biology, tumor cell signaling, antibody binding and internalization, cytotoxicity, biomarker development, cytokine release, and other cellular responses to support drug screening
  • Lead the development, qualification, and execution of in vitro assays, and oversee the maintenance, culture, passaging, and banking of multiple cell lines to support research and development objectives
  • Design, perform, and interpret multiparameter flow cytometry and other in vitro and ex vivo assays (e.g., receptor occupancy, receptor density, PK/PD biomarker analyses, tumor cell isolation, and blood cell characterization) to assess target engagement and cellular responses
  • Design and execute experiments supporting candidate selection, lead optimization, target validation, and translational biomarker development for targeted radio therapies and related biologic modalities.
  • Develop and qualify assays to support IND-enabling studies, regulatory submissions, and clinical translational research.
  • Serve as the scientific subject matter expert for In vitro Biology and bioanalytical assays across Discovery, Translational, and Development-stage…
