Opportunity Overview

As a member of Rhythm’s North America Field Medical team, the Sr. Manager, Field Medical serves as a trusted scientific partner to the medical and scientific community, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the assigned geography. Through high-quality scientific exchange, the individual serves as a credible resource on disease state, clinical, and scientific data, supporting the advancement of Rhythm’s Medical Affairs objectives.

The Sr. Manager, Field Medical engages with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, investigators, and professional societies to generate actionable insights, advance scientific collaboration, and support the execution of Rhythm's medical strategy. The role contributes to evidence generation and Medical Affairs initiatives by identifying scientific opportunities, supporting appropriate research collaborations, and engaging in advisory boards, educational activities, and other scientific exchange opportunities that inform strategy and strengthen external scientific partnerships.

The territory geography covers New York Metro and candidates must be based in Manhattan.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Serve as a trusted scientific partner to key external experts by delivering timely, evidence-based, and impactful scientific exchange that advances understanding of the scientific and clinical value of Rhythm’s research and therapies.
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to support the successful implementation of Rhythm's medical strategy by:
    • Gathering and communicating actionable medical insights with clear implications and recommendations from KOLs, HCPs, and healthcare systems to inform medical strategy, evidence generation, and organizational decision-making.
    • Serving as a scientific peer-to-peer resource to disease experts and the broader medical community by providing timely, balanced, and evidence-based scientific and clinical information.
    • Identifying and cultivating relationships with potential investigators and providing field-based medical support for clinical trials, registries, real-world evidence initiatives, and other research programs.
    • Collaborating cross-functionally to provide scientific expertise and contribute to the development and execution of medical, scientific, and strategic initiatives at the local, regional, and national levels.
    • Identifying opportunities to advance patient care through research collaborations, educational initiatives, understanding care pathways and identifying scientific/education gaps, and other scientific partnership opportunities within key accounts and institutions.
  • Interpret and effectively communicate complex scientific and clinical data to address the educational and research needs of healthcare professionals, investigators, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Rhythm Medical Communications and medical strategy.
