Position: Recreation Leader
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Temporary (3-Month Assignment)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Join Our Team as a Recreation Leader!

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs.

  • Lead and encourage participation in group and individual activities, including games, arts and crafts, music, religious services, holiday celebrations, and special events.

  • Provide one-on-one visits, motivation, and reality orientation to residents as needed.

  • Observe, document, and report resident participation, behaviors, and progress.

  • Encourage resident and family involvement in activity planning and care goals.

  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to enhance residents' quality of life.

  • Set up, supervise, and clean activity areas before and after programs.

  • Maintain recreation supplies, equipment, and activity materials.

  • Safely transport residents to and from activities within the facility.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recreation, activities, or related experience (long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to engage residents of varying abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
