About This Role
The Per Diem Nurse Epidemiologist will support Infection Prevention and Control activities at New York-Presbyterian/The One, focusing on high-level disinfection, sterile processing practices, and environmental infection prevention.
Highlights- Pay: $90.00/Hourly
- Location: White Plains, NY
- Facility: New York-Presbyterian/The One
- Schedule: Per Diem, Rotating
- Conduct routine rounding and audits in areas performing high-level disinfection.
- Monitor compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in infection control practices.
- Provide education to frontline staff and leaders.
- Offer consultation services to various departments.
- Collaborate with clinical, perioperative, and sterile processing leaders.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred
Experience:
- Three to five years of clinical experience required
- Infection Prevention and Control experience preferred
- Three years of bedside nursing experience preferred
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current New York State RN license
- Ability to obtain CIC certification within two years of employment
- Certified by the Certification Board for Infection Control & Epidemiology (CIC) preferred
