- Provide culturally and linguistically responsive, trauma-informed mental health services to refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of torture, and other individuals served by MKC
- Conduct clinical screenings, biopsychosocial assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, psychoeducation workshops, crisis intervention, and safety planning
- Deliver services through telehealth, in-office, and community-based settings
- Provide advocacy, care coordination, referrals, and consultation
- Develop professional relationships with social service, health, legal, governmental, and other providers and agencies
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation
- Conduct individual and/or group supervision for clinical graduate students and/or staff
- Mentor students on forensic documentation and co-sign psychological affidavits
- Provide training, presentations, and technical assistance on trauma, mental health, and the needs of refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of torture
- Represent the Marjorie Kovler Center in local and national immigrant and refugee-serving coalitions and work groups
- Manage assigned cases and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure coordinated, survivor-centered service delivery
- Support clinical policy, procedure, form, quality improvement, reporting, and program evaluation initiatives
- A master's degree (M.A./M.S.) in social work, psychology, or related human service equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with relevant participant populations
- Full licensure to practice within New York (LCSW, LCPC or Clinical Psychologist) required
- Bilingual proficiency in a language other than English (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, or Portuguese) required
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to travel domestically
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality standards, and professional development
Demonstrates expertise in providing trauma-informed mental health services, conducting clinical assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans for diverse populations, including refugees and asylum seekers. Proficient in delivering services through various modalities and maintaining ethical standards in clinical practice.
