Location: New York
Our client is seeking an experienced Reimbursement / Payer Access Manager to support healthcare providers and patients throughout the New York City market. This is a field-facing role focused on navigating complex payer and reimbursement requirements, removing access barriers, and helping ensure patients can obtain prescribed products. The position will work primarily with physician practices and outpatient clinics, including Primary Care and specialty providers focused on metabolic health.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the field-based reimbursement and payer access resource for healthcare providers throughout the NYC territory.
- Develop strong relationships with physician practices, clinics, and office-based healthcare teams.
- Navigate commercial and government payer requirements to help facilitate patient access.
- Identify reimbursement, coverage, prior authorization, and other access barriers and help offices navigate solutions.
- Educate providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, payer requirements, and available patient access resources.
- Work closely with Primary Care and metabolic-focused specialties to improve the overall patient access experience.
- Partner with internal commercial and market access teams to identify payer trends and access challenges within the territory.
- Experience in field reimbursement, payer access, market access, patient access, or reimbursement support within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare.
- Experience working with physician offices and outpatient clinics strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of payer policies, prior authorization processes, reimbursement, and patient access programs.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage a field-based New York City territory.
Ideal candidates will be resourceful, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working directly with physician practices to remove reimbursement barriers and improve patient access.
