Residential Team Lead Habilitator

Location: Happiness House – Gorham IRA

Salary: $19.00 to $21.25 per hour

Employment: This is a full-time position. The schedule is:
Saturday: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday, 2 p.m.

-10 p.m., Thursday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays:
Off

Summary/Objective: This position provides leadership and oversight to Residential Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while on shift to ensure quality service delivery. This position serves as a liaison between the DSPs and the supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in human services or related field as determined by the department or program preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Experience in providing service to individuals with disabilities preferred.

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize the daily operations of the department or program.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in planning, implementing and evaluating work with individuals, customers, and employees.

Demonstrated tolerance for stressful interactions and situations.

Must have ability to travel in the Rochester area.

Responsibilities include:

Communicates with departmental manager and director to assess progress, problem solve, make decisions and accomplish the goals of the program/department.

Trains new team members as needed.

Maintains accurate billing for the program per policy and regulations.

Demonstrates professional demeanor and acts as a role model for employees and individuals by interacting with others in a professional and respectful manner, dressing appropriately, and using good personal hygiene.

Acts as a role model for employees in carrying out the Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles of Happiness House and of the Residential program.

Is approachable and responsive to staff.

Completes tasks related to the functioning of the program or department.

Communicates effectively with employees, service providers, individuals, caregivers, family members, and the community to ensure services are individually focused and promote independence, productivity and choice.

Complies with Regulatory and Agency audits (internal and external).

Attends meetings as assigned and communicates information to staff.

Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.

Adheres to agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
