TAG Med Staffing is hiring an Assistant Clinical Director (Behavioral Health) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting residential behavioral health services, clinical supervision, treatment planning, and transitional care for adolescents. This leadership role oversees clinical and support staff while coordinating discharge planning, family engagement, and community-based services. The ideal candidate is an LCSW with residential behavioral health experience, strong supervisory skills, and experience supporting youth with complex mental health needs.
Responsibilitiesas the Assistant Clinical Director (Behavioral Health):
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee transitional, aftercare, and family support services for adolescents receiving residential behavioral health treatment.
- Staff Supervision: Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and performance oversight to transitional coordinators and other clinical and program staff.
- Treatment Planning: Coordinate individualized treatment, discharge, permanency, and aftercare planning to support successful transitions into the community.
- Youth & Family Support: Partner with youth, families, and caregivers to address barriers, strengthen support systems, and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, therapy, education, and program leadership to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
- Program Compliance: Maintain clinical documentation and support adherence to residential behavioral health, child welfare, and regulatory requirements.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work or a related human services field is required.
- Licensure: Active New York State LCSW license is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of behavioral health or social services experience, including 2+ years of supervisory or management experience, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working with adolescents in residential treatment or intensive behavioral health settings is required, with knowledge of trauma-informed care, treatment planning, foster care, housing, and OMH or OCFS requirements preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Experience with electronic health records and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, adaptability, and crisis management skills are required.
