Under direct supervision of a pharmacist and in accordance with specific and detailed instructions assists in the packaging, manufacturing, distribution of drugs and supplies.

For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.

• Performs various non-judgmental functions in all areas of the department including, ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing and packaging as well as provision of ambulatory services.
• Responsible for the procurement of inventory and inventory control.
• Performs other related duties and utilizes automated and computerized technology as required.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• 1:00 pm 9:30 pm, must be able to work every other weekend.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on the job training.
• Valid NYS Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Valid PTCB certification is required.
• Must pass a Pharmacy Technician test.
• This position requires knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory control practice and procedures.
• Excellent communications, customer service and business interpersonal skills.
• This position requires PC, windows and other business or pharmacy computer system literacy.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
