AFaith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are seeking to fill the position of Activities Assistant

- Recreation Leader

- Part-Time Shifts Available: 2 hours daily on Mon
- Fri or 3 hours on Saturday and Sunday. - Hourly Pay range = $18.60 to $20.44 based on experience.
- Recreational and OT students are encouraged to apply.
- Previous recreation / activities experience with a geriatric population preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Prompt, professional, reliable and a team player.
- Able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Able to push wheelchairs.
- Able to be around animals (pets).
- Ability to work with dementia population.
- MDS knowledge a plus.
- Lead a program of arts, crafts, and recreation.
- Introduce new projects and activities and encourages resident involvement.
- Assist with resident transport and attend to resident needs during entertainment or outside programs.
- Assure proper care, use, storage and protection of tools and equipment.
- Complete activity assessments.
- Maintain daily attendance/participation of residents.
- Attend recommended workshops, in-services, meetings.
