Respiratory Therapist

Centers Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist in the Adirondack Region. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment abilities and experience providing respiratory care in a long-term or post-acute setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor residents with respiratory conditions
• Perform diagnostic testing and evaluate lung function
• Interpret results and communicate findings to the care team
• Provide airway management, including secretion removal and clearing obstructions
• Educate residents on respiratory health, treatments, and prevention
• Instruct residents on proper use of respiratory equipment and therapies
• Respond to respiratory emergencies, including resuscitation support
• Collaborate with physicians on individualized treatment plans
• Follow infection control, safety, and clinical care protocols
• Provide care with respect for residents’ dignity and beliefs

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current, valid Respiratory Therapist credentials/license
• Respiratory care experience preferred (LTC/post-acute a plus)
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organization
