ResponsibilitiesPsychiatric Technician assists in the provision of nursing care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention and Evaluation) in the Behavioral Health Unit under the coordination of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

The compensation range for the role is $21.59 USD - $22.24 USD hourly.

QualificationsMinimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate Degree and/or Bachelors in human services field preferred.

Required Certification/Registration:
- BLS (CPR) certification.
- EKG training/competency must be completed prior to being released from unit orientation, must maintain BLS certification and EKG Competency throughout duration of employment.
- Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.
Physical Requirements: Position will primarily be medium to light work requiring lifting with lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required. Position requires 20% sitting and 80% standing or walking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken and written word is required.
