About the Position:

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient clinic in Whitestone, New York. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore functional movement through individualized rehabilitation programs.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and motivated professional who is passionate about patient care and delivering high-quality rehabilitative services in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises, stretching, balance training, and functional mobility activities
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR system
Prepare treatment areas and ensure a safe and clean clinical environment
Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers to support patient outcomes

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
