410 Medical, based in Durham, NC, is developing and distributing innovative products that help improve resuscitation of critically ill patients. 410’s products are designed to enable clinicians to more effectively and efficiently respond to patients with septic shock, hemorrhagic shock and other conditions that require controlled, rapid volume resuscitation.
About the role
Training and education are critical to the success of Life Flow and our customers. The Clinical Education Specialist (CES) has primary responsibility for educating Life Flow users, potential users, employees and partners. In the course of education, the positive relationships that the CES develops with providers will also play a key role in standardizing and expanding Life Flow use. Training will require significant travel and cover multiple shifts, including some nights and weekends.
What you'll do
- Conduct Life Flow training for health care providers (i.e. nurses, physicians and paramedics) at Life Flow accounts
- Timely and complete documentation of details related to education, customer interactions and feedback in CRM (for self and 1099’s). Keep training record updated on all accounts
- Work closely with Clinical Sales Specialists to expand Life Flow awareness, proficiency and utilization in targeted accounts
- Provide feedback and input on the Life Flow education strategy, materials (including protocols) and processes
- Assist customers in implementing Life Flow into clinical practice, including incorporation in order sets, protocols and use tracking and evaluation
- Solicit Life Flow user input and cases in order to understand Life Flow uses and feedback and share with 410 team and identify cases for write-up
- Maintain thorough understanding of Life Flow-relevant clinical subjects, including through webinars, podcasts, and articles. Share learnings with Company and educate others as requested
- Conduct Life Flow training and other Life Flow related on-boarding for 410 employees, consultants (including 1099 educators) and distributors
- Identify classes, labs, clinical instructors and simulation centers to get Life Flow into and educate on device and volume resuscitation
- Support trade show participation, including planning Life Flow demos.
- Expand education and awareness in target accounts by identifying and building relationship with practice influencers across the account
Qualifications
- RN degree or Paramedic certification
- 5+ years clinical experience in ED or ICU setting preferred
- Familiarity with hospital setting and navigating departments and floors
- Excellent clinical educator. 2+ years clinical education experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, ability to convey ideas in a clear, concise manner
- Demonstrated ability to quickly develop positive relationships with new people

Other Requirements:
- Significant travel involved; weekends and night shifts possible, up to 75% travel
- Full-time role based in a city that has easily accessible airport exchanges
- Carry detail bag weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk in numerous hospitals at meetings for 6-10 hours per day
- Must be able to meet hospital credentialing requirements in order to observe products within a hospital or EMS environment (need all applicable vaccines)
- Maintain professional and clinical continuing education, licensure and credentials
