About

the Role

We are seeking an individual with an exceptional background in collections and customer service to join our Patient Financial Services team.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Ensure unpaid and partially paid balances are resolved efficiently, timely and within stated goals.
  • Collect patient balances and establish payment plans as needed.
  • Remind patients when payment plans are overdue.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries and triage calls.
  • Inform patients about the Patient Portal for registration and details of all services available.
  • Coordinate efforts with other internal teams.
  • Fulfill clerical responsibilities which may include sending/receiving/scanning medical records, hospital notes & referral information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • 1 to 2 years of collection and billing experience in a physician‑based office setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with patients and colleagues and to respond in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Experience as a multi‑tasker, team player, and problem solver.
  • Commitment to follow HIPAA privacy and security standards.
  • Organized and detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proficiency using a Windows‑based computer and standard business applications including MS Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer/Chrome.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating tasks with other employees.
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.
