The Quality Assurance Department supports CAMBA’s supportive housing portfolio by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting high-quality service delivery across all housing programs. The department is responsible for monitoring program performance, conducting audits, identifying risks, and supporting continuous quality improvement efforts.

What the Quality Assurance Director Does
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and uphold confidentiality
  • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures
  • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy policies intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and monitoring tools across supportive housing programs
  • Conduct and oversee audits of client files, including assessments, independent living plans, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements (HPD, OMH, DOHMH, HUD, HRA, etc.)
  • Monitor program performance and analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Develop and oversee corrective action plans for underperforming programs or staff
  • Review incident trends and identify high-risk cases or sites requiring intervention
  • Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress and best program practices
  • Work with direct reporting staff to set staff performance targets in accordance with contract requirements
  • Develop and document all program activities
  • Collaborate with Vice Presidents, Program Directors and Program Managers to strengthen service delivery and documentation practices
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to program leadership regarding compliance and quality improvement
  • Develop and support staff training initiatives based on audit findings and identified gaps
  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports to executive leadership
  • Support programs in preparation for audits, monitoring visits, and funder reviews
  • Participate in staff/funder/outside agency meetings as requested
  • Immediately report to senior leadership any incidents or findings that may pose risk to the organization
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time
Qualifications for the Position Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required
  • Master Degree, or Licensed Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. (A license is required of these Master’s Degrees:
    Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy)
Minimum Experiences and Skills Required
  • At least 1 year of Quality Assurance Experience
