About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will have experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorizations in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:- Greet and check in patients professionally and courteously
- Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls
- Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits
- Obtain and process prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, medications, and DME
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information
- Collect copays and assist with front office administrative duties
- Coordinate with providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding authorization status
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times
- Previous medical front desk or receptionist experience preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations required
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Spanish is a plus
Full-time
Schedule:Monday to Friday
Experience:- Medical receptionist/front desk: 3 years preferred
- Prior authorizations: 3 years preferred
- Insurance verification: 3 years preferred
