A New York City-based nonprofit organization is seeking an Intake Specialist (CASAC) to join their growing team in Manhattan.

About the Opportunity:

  Monday to Friday
• Hours:
  
  9am to 5pm
• Setting:
  In-person, residential program

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for admissions and referrals
• Review prospective clients for admission into residential programs
• Conduct phone and face-to-face screenings and complete LOCADTR assessments
• Gather client information and complete admission documentation
• Maintain waitlists, admission logs, discharge tracking, and census reporting while supporting outreach and referral relationship development

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, counseling, or behavioral health
• Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
• Full CASAC certification
• Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
• Knowledge of DSM-V, substance use, and recovery services
• Experience working within an electronic health record (EHR) system
• Strong communication and customer service skills
