Music Specialist – Recreation Department | Bezalel Nursing Home
Bezalel Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Music Specialist to join our Recreation Department. The Music Specialist will plan and lead engaging music-based programs for our residents, including seniors, short-term rehabilitation residents, and individuals living with cognitive, physical, developmental, and psychiatric conditions. Responsibilities will include leading sing-alongs, musical performances, group activities, and individualized music sessions designed to promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being, and quality of life.
The ideal candidate is creative, patient, dependable, and passionate about working with the geriatric population. Experience working in a nursing home, healthcare, recreation, music, or therapeutic setting is preferred. The ability to play a musical instrument, lead groups, and create a warm and engaging environment for residents is highly valued. The Music Specialist will work closely with the Recreation and interdisciplinary teams to develop meaningful programming while maintaining resident safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
