Mammography Tech

A respected private medical practice in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join its breast imaging team. This role plays a key part in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease, combining technical skill, clinical judgment, and compassionate patient care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

• Perform 3D digital mammography and quality control procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) required
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) required
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable)
• Must maintain registry status and continuing education
• Minimum two years of mammography experience
• Ability to work independently without supervision with excellent problem-solving skills
