Bilingual Psychometrist - Per Diem

Position Summary

The Neuropsychology Service at Stony Brook Medicine is a very busy practice. We see patients, ranging in age from 4 to 90+ years, with concerns ranging from learning disabilities to epilepsy to mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

At Stony Brook Medicine the Psychometrist will be involved in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of neuropsychological tests. They will be provided with training in all of these areas, and will also be provided with training in the writing of neuropsychological evaluation reports. As available, they will also be exposed to clinical research.

• The psychometrist will be involved in neuropsychological test administration and scoring.
• The psychometrist will take part in test interpretation.
• The psychometrist will draft partial or complete reports as appropriate.

• Preliminary experience with, and/or exposure to, psychological or neuropsychological tests
• Basic mathematical skills
• Able to provide structure but also able to build/maintain rapport with patients
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. An initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date. • Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
• Successfully complete a 4panel drug screen*
• Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
• Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
