Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to join the Highland Eating Disorder Service on a part-time basis (26.5 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a specialist, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing eating disorders across the Highland region. Full or part time hours are available.

You will play a key role in delivering specialist psychological assessment and CBT-based interventions, supporting recovery and improving outcomes for patients with complex needs.

• Provide specialist CBT interventions for individuals with eating disorders, including CBT-E and related approaches
• Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulation of complex cases
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, dietetics, nursing, and support staff
• Offer consultation, supervision, and support to colleagues and partner services
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives

• Holds a recognised CBT qualification (BABCP-accredited or accreditable)
• Has significant post-qualification experience delivering CBT in a clinical setting
• Has experience working with eating disorders or complex mental health presentations
• Demonstrates strong risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Is able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Is committed to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
