CRPA - Certified Recovery Peer Advocate

Every recovery success story begins with one small step. At Seek Counseling, clients are not alone in taking that step. Seek Counseling provides comprehensive therapy and counseling services to help clients overcome the challenges of substance use disorder and improve mental health wellness. We are an Office of Addiction Supports and Services (OASAS) Part 822 Medically Supervised Outpatient treatment program. We specialize in personalized support with services that can meet clients in various non-traditional settings, ensuring barriers to treatment are minimized.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) located in Brooklyn, NY. The CRPA will provide non-clinical support to individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting patient assessments, facilitating support groups, coordinating with counselors to enhance patient care, connecting clients with community resources, and documenting interactions and progress. The CRPA will also collaborate with the mental health team to provide comprehensive support tailored to each client's needs.

• Certified Recovery Peer Advocate certification
• Experience with Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Counseling
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Experience in providing support in non-traditional settings, such as housing or shelter sites
• Knowledge of Medication Assisted Therapies (MAT) for Opioid or Alcohol use
• Proficiency in documenting patient interactions and progress
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
