As State Director you will own clinical quality, clinician growth, and family outcomes across an entire state-turning our child-centered model into measurable progress for hundreds of kids while building the teams that deliver it.

Performance Objectives

• Achieve 90%+ family satisfaction and 15% average skill-gain scores (VB-MAPP/ABLLS) within 12 months by coaching BCBAs on individualized treatment fidelity.
• Hire, onboard, and retain 8-12 additional BCBAs and RBTs in the first year so every child starts services within 21 days of authorization.
• Reduce challenging-behavior incidents 25% across caseloads by implementing data-driven function-based protocols and weekly clinical reviews.
• Secure and maintain 100% payer compliance (Medicaid, commercial) with zero recoupments through audit-ready documentation and staff training.
• Launch two new clinic or in-home hubs that each reach 40+ active clients and break even within nine months.
• Build a state-wide leadership bench so every BCBA has a documented succession plan and 80% of supervisors are promoted from within.
• You report to the Chief Clinical Officer and lead a team of Clinical Directors, BCBAs, and operations staff. You will have full P&L accountability for the state, a dedicated recruiting budget, electronic data systems (Central Reach or equivalent), and access to national clinical resources. Hybrid schedule with regular on-site presence at clinics and homes.

• BCBA certification plus 5+ years directing ABA programs with documented improvements in child outcomes and staff retention.
• Proven ability to scale multi-site operations while keeping treatment quality above 90% fidelity.
• Hands-on experience navigating Medicaid and commercial insurance authorizations and audits.
• Track record of hiring and developing BCBAs who stay and grow into leadership roles.
• Comfort owning P&L, clinic openings, and community partnerships in a for-profit healthcare setting.
