Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery / Breast to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

The position of the Physician Assistant consists of providing advanced evidenced-based care and treatment to patients including but not limited to the following responsibilities.

• Performing history and physical examinations.
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments.
• Developing treatment plans.
• Prescribing drugs and other therapies.
• Making referrals as necessary.
• Documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
• Consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
• Counseling patients and families regarding care.
• Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.

• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
• Must have proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be ACLS/BLS certified.

Annual Base Salary: $131,127 - $174,836 based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $144,239 - $192,319
, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below.

• 401(k) Company Contribution:
  Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. After one year of service, an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
