TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Medical Receptionist (Bilingual) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting patient scheduling, front desk operations, insurance verification, and administrative functions within a medical practice. This temporary role will serve as a primary point of contact for patients while maintaining accurate registration and appointment information. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish or Chinese with strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
Responsibilitiesas the Medical Receptionist (Bilingual):
- Front Desk Support: Greet and assist patients, answer questions, and provide professional customer service throughout the patient experience.
- Patient Scheduling: Schedule, confirm, and update appointments while maintaining accurate provider calendars and patient information.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and coverage while collecting required patient and registration information.
- Patient Registration: Register patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and contact information within electronic health record systems.
- Medical Records: Maintain organized and accurate patient records while following HIPAA, confidentiality, and documentation requirements.
- Administrative Support: Provide front office and administrative support to physicians, clinical staff, and medical office leadership.
- Language
Skills:
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish or Chinese is required. - Experience: Medical receptionist, medical front desk, patient services, healthcare administration, or related customer service experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of medical office procedures, patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification is preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Computer proficiency is required, with electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong patient service, communication, organization, and attention to detail are required, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
