Neuropsychologist

Join Uptown Psychology, a collaborative, evidence-based private practice serving clients in New York and Miami. We are expanding our New York team and seeking an experienced, compassionate part-time neuropsychologist to provide in-person assessment services from our Upper East Side office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values thoughtful, practical, science-based assessment and wants to work in a supportive private-practice setting with steady referrals and administrative support.
This is a part-time in person position.

You will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with cognitive, learning, developmental, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Evaluations may include assessment and diagnostic clarification for ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, executive-functioning challenges, mood and anxiety concerns, and other neurodevelopmental or psychological presentations.

You will synthesize complex clinical, developmental, academic, behavioral, and test data into clear reports and meaningful recommendations that clients, families, schools, and treating providers can understand and use.

• Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and psycho educational evaluations for children, adolescents, and/or adults
• Complete clinical interviews, record reviews, test selection, administration, scoring, interpretation, and integrated diagnostic formulation
• Assess for autism spectrum disorder when clinically indicated
• Write high-quality, timely evaluation reports with individualized, evidence-based recommendations
• Provide clear and supportive feedback sessions to clients, parents, and families
• Collaborate with schools, physicians, therapists, psychiatrists, and other providers as appropriate
• Offer consultation and recommendations related to academic accommodations, treatment planning, executive functioning supports, and school-based interventions
• Maintain accurate, ethical, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field
• Specialized training and demonstrated experience in neuropsychological and/or psycho educational assessment
• Experience evaluating children, adolescents, and/or adults; experience across the lifespan is strongly preferred
• Comfort assessing ADHD, learning disorders, executive-functioning concerns, anxiety, mood concerns, and other neurodevelopmental or psychological presentations
• Experience conducting autism spectrum disorder evaluations is preferred
• Strong diagnostic, clinical writing, and case conceptualization skills
• Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, compassionate, and actionable way
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with families, schools, and multidisciplinary providers
