Description- The role involves providing comprehensive physical therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Brooklyn, NY.
- This contract position requires onsite work and involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance individuals' mobility and quality of life.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Knowledge of physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
- Experience working in an IDD setting preferred
- Familiarity with OPWDD and Article 16 Clinic regulations preferred
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Experience in an outpatient clinic, rehabilitation, pediatric, or developmental disabilities setting
- Ability to assist individuals with transfers, positioning, ambulation, and therapeutic activities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to safely demonstrate therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques
