- Part Time Shift
- Non-Invasive Cardiology - - 12:00 PM. In this role, the successful candidate Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests of patients cardiac anatomy and function. Ensures ultrasound test is of acceptable quality and records results of tests. By performing all tasks in an efficient, responsible and caring manner, the employee will be dedicated to meet the needs of our patients and our staff.

They will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care with respect to the special needs of each patient age group served as well as those with disabilities.

• Collects patient data by involving the patient, family and other health care providers.
• Reviews chart and/or prescription for testing indication.
• Demonstrates awareness of the special needs of each age group or culture served as well as those patients with disabilities.
• Assists physician during other related procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography.
• Maintains a safe and hazard free work area.
• Operates equipment according to department and manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Maintains and practices Universal Precautions and OSHA regulations that apply to job performance.
• Performs appropriate patient monitoring
• Explains testing procedure to patient and family.
• Adapts positioning to meet the needs of the patient.
• Selects appropriate transducer settings, adjusts equipment controls to obtain optimum imaging.
• Observes sound wave display screen as scanning device moves over patient’s anatomy to detect pathologies and check for factors such as function, valve pathology and so forth. Determines if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Records and Digitally clips visual images of cardiac anatomy
• Performs and prints 2-D, m-mode and doppler measurements.
• Completes Syngo Workflow for completion of examination
• Recognizes hazards to patient safety and takes action to maintain a safe environment.
• Utilizes Syngo Dynamic for preparation of study for physician interpretation
