DescriptionPersonal Pediatrics, BCHP's Pediatric office in Miller Place, NY, is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team!
SalaryThe hourly pay rate for this opportunity will be approximately. $17/hr to $18/hr this pay range is negotiable based on level of experience and certification.
ScheduleThe approximate schedule of this position will be about
37.5hours per week.

- Experience with Electronic Medical Records is essential, and familiarity with the Next Gen EMR is a plus
- Experience with Phreesia is a plus
- Previous medical office experience preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills over the phone and in-person
- Office responsibilities
- Verify all patient and family demographics
- Verify all insurance information
- Check the online pre-visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting any information in the patient database.
- Follow-up on any positive responses in the Coronavirus screening through Phreesia
- Phreesia should also be checked at the end of the day to prepare for the next day's visits. Incomplete registration and positive screenings should be dealt with at that time.
- Checking the online payment of balances and copayments, and assisting parents in making these payments at the time of the visit if not done prior to the visit
- Assisting new patients in completing the registration forms
- Updating all information in the patient's electronic record, including removing an Alerts that no longer apply
- Assist patients in obtaining access to the Patient Portal for each child in the family
- Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries.
- Make appointments for future visits for patients as they exit.
