A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and organized Intake Manager to oversee its intake department and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new patients. This role is responsible for managing the referral pipeline, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare partners.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, empathetic, and experienced in healthcare operations, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Supervise daily operations of the intake department to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Manage incoming referrals and proactively follow up to initiate the intake process
• Verify patient insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new patients, explaining coverage, costs, and timelines
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, clinics, and physicians
• Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of patient data within EMR systems
• Monitor workflow and optimize processes to improve intake efficiency

• Previous experience in medical intake, billing, or healthcare administration required
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with EMR systems
• Bilingual skills are a plus
