Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
  • Appropriately greet guests upon arrival and offer assistance with luggage.
  • Be knowledgeable of all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures and equipment as related to department responsibilities, and perform or dispatch any necessary functions.
  • Provide safe transportation to all guests using the hotel's shuttle vehicle.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the shuttle vehicles by completing daily van inspection checklist.
  • Track the vans' service maintenance and update the management for any required service maintenance, including but not limited to: oil change, tire rotation, wiper replacement, etc.
  • Keep van binders up to date with information on all service to each vehicle as it happens.
  • Coordinate luggage storage, make guestroom deliveries, assist with snow removal, ensure proper care of hotel flags, and perform a variety of other tasks conducive to the efficient operation of the front office and in providing all guests with exceptional hotel services.
  • Assist with answering the phones at the front desk during busy time.
  • Be knowledgeable of the hours of operation of all hotel services and aggressively sell such services.
  • Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel front entrance, lobby, and surrounding areas.
  • Assist in checking all lobby fixtures, equipment, and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings, and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
  • Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
  • Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform.
Qualifications

Must be able to provide, receive, and comprehend verbal and written instructions and information. Must possess a clean and valid New York State driver's license. Desired are individuals who are friendly, reliable, enthusiastic, articulate, outgoing, obliging, and compassionate. Must present an appropriate public presence in grooming, dress, poise, and social etiquette. Must be able to work independently or with others. Proper social demeanor, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and passion for serving others is essential.

Must have current NYS drivers license and clean driving record. Previous customer service and driving experience preferred. Shifts will consist of midday to evening hours, generally Monday - Friday with some weekends throughout the year. Previous hotel experience preferred.
