Overview

When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

Reportall daily occurrence of the Hotel in the Assistant Manager’s Log record.

Follows through closely all tasks that need tobe attended and ensure full completion by end of shift. Checks through for anyoutstanding matter and assumes full responsibility for uncompleted tasks.

Spot check all arrival registration cards and ensures details are entered accurately.

Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolvedsatisfactorily.

Monitors Rooms’ standards in general, working through the respective Department Heads to take corrective action where necessary.

Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implementedwhere appropriate.

Works closely with othermanagement personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

Ensures that the Front Office associates work ina supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “Wework through Teams”.

Applies common sense approachwhen faced with a difficult situation.

Familiar with all Emergency Procedure.

Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Handleguest incident skills.
  • Excellent computer skills Microsoft office and related system.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an International 5-star hotel and 1 years’ experience in a similar position in.
