Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized leader to manage our Summer Seasonal Activities and Year‑Round Events programming at The Lodge at Schroon Lake. This role oversees all aspects of our guest activities and waterfront operations—from hiring, training, and scheduling staff, to developing engaging programs and large‑scale community events like Winter Wonderland and the Irish Festival. The ideal candidate will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, manage a robust activities and events budget, and support marketing efforts through promotional content and social media.

Responsibilities also include concierge services, operating recreational equipment and shuttles, and maintaining safety and service standards. A passion for hospitality, outdoor recreation, and community engagement is essential.

Compensation

$65,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and schedule guest activities and waterfront staff.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and large‑scale community events such as Winter Wonderland and the Irish Festival.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Manage a robust activities and events budget.
  • Support marketing efforts through promotional content and social media.
  • Provide concierge services and operate recreational equipment and shuttles.
  • Maintain safety and service standards for all events and operations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Certification or ability to obtain Red Cross CPR, Standard First Aid and AED.
  • New York Boat Certification Course necessary to operate any waterfront motorized boats.
