Wythe Hotel is seeking an experienced, proactive Event Sales Manager to join our Weddings and Events team, with a focus on strategically growing our wedding and social events business. This role is central to shaping the hotel’s reputation for unforgettable gatherings by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, social event planners and identifying new business opportunities, and guiding each event from inquiry to successful execution.

By combining strategic sales expertise with a deep commitment to hospitality, this role drives revenue growth while helping guests create memorable experiences that inspire them to return again and again.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Event Sales Manager is responsible for growing Wythe Hotel’s presence in the social events and wedding market, driving revenue for intimate weddings and social gatherings. This role requires proactively introducing new clients and event planners to the hotel and converting leads into contracts, while maintaining clear and gracious communication with clients, the Sales team, and management. A motivated self-starter, the Event Sales Manager embraces feedback, contributes daily to the success of the property, and ensures every client interaction reflects Wythe’s high standards for personal attention and service, always keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront.
- Negotiate and Contract social events, intimate weddings, and wedding related events and once contracted provide detailed turnover to Event Manager to ensure flawless execution of events.
- Conduct client site tours for clients looking to host their celebration at Wythe Hotel and walkthroughs for vendors or wedding/event planners.
- Be able to thoughtfully represent and successfully sell event spaces and food programs to clients.
- Constant communication with appropriate Wythe Event Operations & Culinary team members to make sure event details are relayed to the proper associates for seamless execution.
- Assist Event Managers with handling any unexpected issues or last minute changes that may arise during the planning process or on the event day.
- Represent Wythe Hotel at pertinent industry events to network and build relationships and awareness of our offerings.
- Stay current with trends in the events industry to ensure Wythe Hotel continues to maintain its standing as Brooklyn’s premiere event & wedding venue.
- This position will work closely with the Wedding Sales Director & Director of Commercial Strategy to continually come up with creative ways to increase our wedding & social events and to ensure continued growth in our projected income areas.
- Attend department and property meetings as present as needed.
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff, managers, corporate staff and ownership.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule as required by business needs including 1 weekend day in office required to provide site tours and lead coverage.
- Prepare any sales reporting needed by Ownership or Management
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in event or wedding sales, preferably in a boutique hotel, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality environment
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing event revenue
- Strong prospecting, lead conversion, and client relationship management skills
- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
- Ability to anticipate client needs and deliver personalized, high-level service
- Proficiency with CRM systems and booking tools
