Nursing Home Concierge

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Barnwell, located in Valatie. NY is currently seeking a Concierge.

Position Overview: Position is full-time

Rate: $17.50 to $19.50 per hour

The Concierge is responsible for coordinating guest hospitality services for residents and family members within the facility. This position is key in creating a positive environment. The successful candidate will create and maintain a strong, staff relationship; by encouraging communication, dedication to customer service and a commitment to quality improvement. This position comes with significant challenges, responsibilities and expectations. It also offers opportunities to work directly with local and corporate leadership teams to develop, maintain and exceed The Grand Healthcare System service experience and the culture within the facility.

Concierge Duties Include:

• Assisting in developing follow-up procedures for identified room for improvement areas.

• Responsible for leading both the Concierge and the Grand Experience Programs through our values and service standards (teamwork and innovation).

• Greeting and directing guests, visitors, and staff; handling questions/concerns efficiently.

• Assessing customer needs and providing services to include: assisting guests with faxes, email and iPad needs, food requests, flower orders, library and movie requests.

• Managing difficult or emotional customer situations; identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.

• Responding to all guests’ requests for assistance while maintaining Guest privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

• Model positive team behaviors by smiling, demonstrating friendliness and expressing a genuine caring attitude toward guests.

• Escorting guests as needed.
