Position: Overnight Valet Attendant-(Courtyard and Fairfield Inn Fresh Meadows)
Location: New York

Towne Park is a hospitality services company that focuses on delivering exceptional experiences to patients, visitors, and guests. We are looking for a Guest Service Associate who will provide courteous, efficient, and friendly service.

Position Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for receiving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles, assisted luggage handling, and providing general assistance to guests during arrival and departure. The role requires a professional demeanor, efficient use of the valet system, and strong communication skills.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Schedule:

Overnight shifts, typically 3 p.m. – 7 a.m. (various hours), with weekends required.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
  • Greet guests within five feet, using their last names and the appropriate salutation of the day.
  • Use proper phone etiquette and stay posted in assigned areas when not completing tasks.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely, driving slowly and cautiously.
  • Assist guests with bell service and luggage storage as needed; open vehicle and hotel doors.
  • Provide directions, taxi information, reservations, and other inquiries; supply guests with information about facility amenities and local attractions.
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations and deliver requested items or messages.
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue claim checks after receiving keys and collect checks from all guests before returning keys.
  • Accurately complete and maintain ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license for the state of employment.
  • Minimum 1 month of related experience or training.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English, compose simple correspondence, and follow written instructions.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with decimal values, and understanding of rates, 24‑hour time, and monetary units.
  • Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Manually operating a manual transmission vehicle and performing parallel parking (highly desirable).

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Located outdoors for most of the shift; exposure to extreme heat and cold weather.
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly.
  • Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
  • Must be able to speak, hear, and read clearly.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
