Job Summary

The Floor Ambassador will be responsible for engaging all employees, executives, VIPs, clients, guests, vendors, and employees at One Madison Avenue. The Floor Ambassador will display an energetic, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times. The Floating Ambassador will act as the first point of contact for employees on workplace floors for all requests, helping direct to appropriate resources.

Responsibilities
  • Engage clients and guests while efficiently checking them in at the Reception Desk or escorting them to their destination.
  • Follow all security procedures and ensure visitors are properly registered.
  • Develop an understanding of the client culture, key areas of activity, and create “transparency” by serving as an extension of the client.
  • Manage closely all activity in the internal visitor greeting process, staying knowledgeable on all daily meetings and up‑to‑the‑minute changes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all activities and emergencies, remaining alert at all times; serve as point person, taking ownership of challenges and following escalation procedures as required.
  • Conduct daily proactive site inspections of conference rooms/auditoriums and liaise with FM Supplier to maintain facilities.
  • Assist with conference room readiness inspections to ensure the room is equipped with proper event materials such as pads, pencils, and handouts.
  • Expedite requests to send packaged materials back to clients.
  • Respond to all requests (Jaber, Slack, email, etc.) directed to the Reception Desk.
  • Handle floor conference room activities, including monitoring meeting start/end times, attendee counts, food and beverage orders, and advising staff of changes.
  • Communicate requests to the appropriate internal support departments.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of emergency procedures and be prepared to perform designated tasks in the event of a fire or other emergency.
  • Adhere to dress code signature look.
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of requests and situations for guests and employees.
  • Act as a way‑finder and hospitality resource for all guests.
  • Maintain a clear, presentable working area at all times.
  • Offer refreshments in the lounge area when possible and communicate with food services as needed for replenishment.
  • Provide vacation coverage (per supplier).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent hospitality experience.
  • Minimum of 1‑3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a welcoming, hospitable environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and under varying stressful conditions with a patient, calm and friendly demeanor.
  • Resourcefulness, professionalism, and poise.
